Dehydrated spiced nuts are simply sensational. Never tried them? Take my word for it! They have an almost buttery taste and are packed with flavor. It’s worth the investment in a dehydrator!
I have stashes of these spicy roasted pistachios stored for quick and easy snacking. You can munch on these straight from the container, add them to trail mixes, or sprinkle them on top of salads like my shaved Brussels sprouts recipe! I’ve added even more creative uses in my notes below.
Before you take a look at the recipe, though, I want to tell you how keeping a stash of these roasted pistachios can help you crush cravings. When you’re in need of something crunchy and salty, don’t turn to processed chips. Instead, grab a handful of these nuts and enjoy!

Recipe Notes
If you decide to dehydrate nuts, take 1-2 days to dehydrate. Spread on teflex sheets and check for crispness. The crispness will indicate when they are ready. Make these for kids by increasing maple syrup, adding 1 tsp of cinnamon and omitting cumin and cayenne. If you make a sweet version they are great crushed as a topping for ice cream. Try placing these in a food processor and make pistachio crumbs. Coat fish or chicken!
