Each episode of The Flexible Life series entails a life makeover of sorts. I join real people within their homes and cut right to the chase in order to start implementing strategies for success, based on everything I know as a mom, a wife of 23 years, a home chef and cookbook author, a psychology student, a yoga & fitness teacher, and a lifelong knowledge seeker. Often, the biggest needed change is right in front of their nose. I simply act as a mirror, and come in with a toolbox of resources.
So now, I’m showing you how to fabulously zig-zag your way to success, too.
For years, I was so determined to walk a straight line, as perfectly as I could, that any little trip-up would derail my entire day and the plan I was holding onto so tightly. That left me way off course, and struggling to find my way back.
Once I’d finally had enough, I started to embrace what I now refer to as The Zig-Zag Method. It allowed me to veer to the left or the right, and easily return to center. The truth is, being rigid hinders long-term progress, whereas flexibility makes room for whatever life throws our way, while still moving toward our goals.
