Picture this: An open field in Tanzania with nothing in sight but sprawling land, tall grass, and gorgeous trees. Oh yeah, and let’s not forget about the occasional leopard, tiger, giraffe, elephant, and hippo! Smack dab in the middle of this magical faraway land is a tented camp with an outdoor kitchen area that’s complete with a bar and hot grill. We ate the most simple yet sensational food in the wilderness, all cooked on an outdoor open flame.
It was at this awe-worthy place that our guide Laz hosted us at and the kitchen crew showed me how to make the freshest salmon served with sautéed broccoli and a flavorful olive tapenade.
