A few years ago I was interviewed for a Supermom article by a Hong Kong magazine. While extremely flattered, I couldn’t help but laugh. I mean, is there really such a thing as a super mom?
You may be surprised to find out that the term has earned a spot in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. By definition, a supermom is:
an exemplary mother; also a woman who performs the traditional duties of housekeeping and child-rearing while also having a full-time job.
Who else thinks that sounds like a load of unnecessary pressure?
