Podcasts Playlist: 7 Favorites To Get You Feeling Inspired

If you’ve never explored the world of podcasts then you may wanna start! In today’s busy world — where it seems there’s always something “urgent” calling our name — podcasts provide us with bite-size chunks of information and entertainment that we can easily enjoy on the go.

Whether I’m in the car or walking down the street with a pair of earbuds, I love filling my few moments of “downtime” with inspiring conversations. Here is a quick list of my favorite podcasts that will leave you feeling exhilarated and ready to thrive!

How I Built This with Guy Raz

If you’re an entrepreneur, or an aspiring business owner, looking to unlock the secrets behind some of the worlds best-known companies then you’ve gotta tune into this podcast. In this show, National Public Radio (NPR) Journalist Guy Raz chats with innovators, business owners, and idealists about the movements they’ve built. There’s a lot of inspirational ideas and learning lessons packed into these episodes! One of my favorite episodes was with the founders of Soul Cycle. All I kept thinking was, “Why didn’t I build that?!”

The Tony Robbins Show

Ever since I first saw Tony Robbins take the stage at an event and hype up the audience with his infectious energy, he’s been one of my biggest inspirations. So, it’s no wonder I’m such a fan of his podcast! The Tony Robbins Podcast gives you VIP access to his proven strategies for success in business, finances, relationships, and physical health. Along with sharing his own insightful lessons, he also interviews some of the world’s most successful people. Listen and let his conversations fuel your excitement for taking your life to the next level.

The Tim Ferriss Show

Get this: With more than 400M downloads, The Tim Ferriss Show has ranked #1 out of 500,000+ podcasts on many occasions. It’s also been ranked the #1 business podcast on all of Apple Podcasts. Once you listen to a few episodes, you’ll know why the show is so wildly popular!

On his podcast, host Tim Ferriss has captivating, entertaining, and eye-opening chats with various celebs and successful leaders. Tim goes deep, working to uncover valuable tools, tactics, and routines that can actually help make a difference in your life.

TED Talks Daily

Are you a fan of the traditional TED Talks and TEDx videos? I love kicking back with a cup of coffee in the morning and watching the latest talks. I even shared my 10 favorite episodes in this blog post. But here’s the thing: While some talks are short and easy to watch in full before the kids wake up, there are longer ones that I often get pulled away from halfway through. Well, that’s where the TED Talks Daily podcast comes in! Every weekday, this feed brings you their latest talks in audio format. So, now you can enjoy the same intelligent and inspiring talks on the go.

Seth Godin’s Startup School

Before we get into the podcast, let’s chat about the host. Throughout his career, Seth Godin launched one of the most popular blogs in the world, has written 18 best-selling books (including The Dip, Linchpin, Purple Cow, Tribes, and What To Do When It’s Your Turn), founded two companies (Squidoo and Yoyodyne, which was acquired by Yahoo!), an was one of just three professionals inducted into the Direct Marketing Hall of Fame. To put it simply: The guy knows his stuff!

In this 15-episode podcast, we get to listen in on a live workshop where Seth guides 30 entrepreneurs and explores how they can build and run their dream business. If you’re an aspiring business owner, let this crash course get your wheels turning.

Mama Said Podcast

Embarrassing moments, sticky situations, and real-life parenting situations — this one is perfect for all the moms out there!

I first heard about the Mama Said podcast when I was asked to come on the show and share some tips for getting flexible in the kitchen and whipping up simple meals the whole family will crave. Let me tell you — the hosts are hilarious! Actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler and musician Jenna Parris will have you LOLing in no time, as they share relatable stories and offer up savvy advice.

Bulletproof Radio

Have you ever heard of bulletproof coffee (AKA brewed coffee blended with grass-fed butter and MCT oil)? Chances are the answer is yes! Now, the founder of Bulletproof Coffee and The Bulletproof Diet, Dave Asprey, is sharing health inspo on the regular through his podcast, Bulletproof Radio.

The main focus of this show is to answer the question: “What are the simplest things you can do to be better at everything?” Dave and a handful of guests (doctors, medical researchers, authors, etc.) share their best advice to upgrade your biochemistry, your body, and your mind so they work in unison. I must admit: I don’t agree with everything he says. But, I do find his talks eye-opening and thought-provoking. It’s worth a listen!

Guest Appearances

Throughout the years, I’ve guest-starred on dozens of podcasts. I’ve been interviewed about everything from raising healthy kids to how I run a flexible business. In case you missed it, here are a few of my favorite interviews:
