PB&J Heart Apple Slice

Servings 2 sandwiches

  • 1 large apple (the largest you can find!)
  • 1 liberal schmear natural peanut butter
  • 1 small scoop your favorite red jam
  • 1 squeeze orange or lemon juice
  • sprinkles of your choice

  1. Slice apple into thin layers. Shape each layer into hearts with large cookie-cutter. Get the smaller-heart shaped cookie cutter to pierce out a heart in the middle of a slice. Leave an extra slice as the bottom layer to hold the filling.

  2. Spread the peanut butter on the bottom slice of the apple. Add a dollop of the jam in the middle and place the top layer of the apple slice.

  3. Squeeze orange or lemon juice on the top of the apple slice. Immediately add sprinkles on top.

  4. Repeat steps with remaining apple slices and enjoy!
