Crispy Brussels Sprouts With Sweet and Spicy Glaze

Course Side Dish

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 cups Brussels Sprouts, cut in half
  • 2 tablespoons tamari
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce

To Serve

  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup toasted sesame seeds
  • Chopped green onion
  • Squeeze of lime, optional

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large fry pan. You might need two pans depending on how large yours is because you don’t want to crowd the Brussels sprouts.

  2. Add Brussels sprouts and cook in an even, flat layer on high heat. Fry on one side then flip, about 3 minutes total. Watch out for flying oil poppers!

  3. Meanwhile, whisk tamari, maple, and sriracha in a small bowl. Set aside.

  4. Add sauce and toss until Brussels sprouts start to brown, another 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat when done.

  5. Season with salt, pepper, sesame seeds, and green onion. Squeeze a splash of lime on top, if desired. Serve immediately.
